The VAK learning style is a model developed in the 1920s to classify the way people learn. People tend to learn in some of the three following ways, according to this model: Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic. That is how the concept of visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners originated.
An auditory learner is someone who prefers learning through any kind of listening material, such as music, recordings or just by listening to someone else.
A visual learner absorbs and retains information through pictures, charts, diagrams and any kind of visual material.
A kinesthetic learner is going to live their learning experience physically. They respond very well to being able to use their senses in the process, either by touching or feeling an object, as well as using their own body to complement said process, e.g., dancing, mimic, playing, building things, etc.
Even when there are people for all of these three learning styles, people in practice tend to mix and match these three styles in their daily life.
