, by Hansi Lo Wang (2015)
What is the Lo Wang’s main purpose in writing this piece? Cite evidence from the text in your response.
Answer:
The 40-year reunion was important for the former refugees because the Refugee Camp was their home at the time and they need to reconnect with those who they met there as a means to preserve their family history.
Explanation:
Although the refugees didn´t spend more than a few months at Fort Indiantown Gap, 40 years later they felt the need to reconnect with the people they had met there.
Like many others, Lo Wang’s mother was disappointed not to find anyone she had known back then because the refugees lost contact after leaving the site.
The answer is C) Dredging to reclaim beaches can stop erosion, but it can also create other problems, because the article mentions that dredging can help, but it also creates it's own problems, such as causing harm to the plants and animals native to the collection site, and it is a very costly process.

Sir,
REQUEST FOR SOCIAL AMENITIES IN UMUNGASI COMMUNITY
It is on record that Umungasi stands in a prominent position among all the communities in Aba. This is because of the inclination of Umungasi Community to commerce and industry.
Unfourtunately, the people of Umungasi have found it difficult to carry on with trade due to poor road network and lack of basic amenities.
There is no standard road in Umungasi and environs. This has unfournately separated us from people in other Local Government Areas of the state.
Electricity and pipe borne water are other unfortunately absent amenities in Umungasi here.
I humbly request that you come to our aid speedily so that the community can experience the true dividends of good governance.
Thanks in anticipation of your positive response.
Yours Faithfully,
Jude Njoku
