34. 3d - 4 + d = 8d - (-12)

3d + d - 4 = 8d + 12

4d - 4 = 8d + 12

4d - 8d - 4 + 4 = 8d - 8d + 12 + 4

-4d = 16

(-4d)/(-4) = 16/(-4)

d = -4

Answer: d = -4

35. f - 6 = -2f + 3(f - 2)

f - 6 = -2f + 3 * f - 3 * 2

f - 6 = -2f + 3f - 6

f - 6 = f - 6

f - f - 6 + 6 = f - f - 6 + 6

0 = 0

Since 0 = 0 is a true statement, that means that there is an infinite number of solutions.

Answer: The solution is all real numbers.

1.

3d-4+d=8d+12 \implies \\4d-4=8d+12 \implies-4d=16 \implies\\ d=-4

2.

f-6=-2f+3(f-2) \implies \\ f-6=-2f+3f-6 \implies\\  f-6=f-6 \implies\\ 0=0 \implies \text{ all real numbers are a solution to this problem}

To wash a window that is 12 feet off the ground, Wayne leans a 13-foot ladder against the
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

5 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

Based on the situation, it forms into a right triangle. So we will apply the Pythagorean Theorem here. The ladder acts as the hypotenuse while the height from the ground to the window serves as our side "a". We are tasked to solve for "b". Side "b" is the distance from foot of side a to the tip of side c which is the hypotenuse (ladder). We will derive the formula below to solve for b.

c = √( a² + b² )

c² = a² + b²

b² = c² - a²

b = √ ( c² - a² )

b = √ ( 13² - 12² )

b = 5 meters

Correct me if I'm wrong. I hope it helps.

Name the marked angle in 2 different ways.<br> Q<br> P<br> O<br> N
Alexxandr [17]

Answer:

PQO and OQP

Step-by-step explanation:

PQO: lines OQ and PQ make the angle.

OQP: Not really sure why it asks for two names. You can probably just flip PQO to OQP and that might work. N is not part of the angle so you can't have an answer with that letter.
