Answer:

 2. He was taken to the free state of Illinois and lived there for many years.

Explanation:

The Dred Scott Case was a Supreme Court case of 1857. He claimed the freedom of himself, his wife and his two daughters because they lived in Illinois and Michigan for four years. Those were free states where slavery was illegal and it was said that slaveholders gave up their rights to slaves if they stayed for an extended period.

The Supreme Court said that any person with African ancestry could not claim citizenship in the United States, therefore, he couldn´t suit in a Federal Court.

I hope this answer helps you.

How is nationalism shown today?
crimeas [40]
Where I see nationalism portrayed most in America today is every year at the Navy-Army football game. Every single person at the game has a sense of pride in this country because they or one of their loved ones has served or died for it. It is more than a game its a gathering of people who want to honor the military service members. The best example of this at the game is after all the points are scored and the game is over both teams gather in the endzone and sing. They sing there school fight songs to the cadets and the midshipman and it brings many fans to tears because this is the point where they realize that all these young men and women stand for something more.

What was it like of you lived in east berlin in 1950s-60?
Alla [95]

☁️My Answer☁️:

If you lived in east Berlin during the 1950's, ten years after the end of WWII, Germany would be rebuilding. Cities like Berlin, which had been severely damaged during the war were emerging from the rubble as the 'Wirtschaftswunder' or 'economic miracle' transformed West Germany.

In the immediate post-war period hundreds of thousands of allied troops were stationed in the divided country, many of them with cameras.
