Read the quotation by W. E. B. Du Bois. “We refuse to allow the impression to remain that the Negro-American assents to inferior

ity, is submissive under oppression and apologetic before insults.” In this quotation, Du Bois disagrees with Booker T. Washington’s accommodationist approach because Du Bois is expressing that temporarily accepting discrimination will not lead to equality. submitting to discrimination will help end inequality. fighting to end inequality could offend some people. working toward equality for all is an important pursuit.

Du Bois and Booker T. Washington had different views of how African American should reach their rights. Du Bois believed African American should get economic and political rights at the same time without going to a process of learning and education Booker T. Washington was proposing. Du Bois thought the African American deserved all the rights at the same time and urged African Americans to actively fight discrimination rather than to patiently submit to it. He demanded equal opportunity and the end to racial segregation. He felt African American should fight for more than just working in the trades and urge equal educational opportunities for African Americans.

So summarizing Du Bois belive was that accepting discrimination will not lead to equality.

The new deal did little to change the relationship between the American people and their government true or false?
Elenna [48]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

So, your question is straight foward, but what I do know is that The New Deal included new constraints and safeguards on the banking industry and efforts to re-inflate the economy after prices had fallen sharply. New Deal programs included both laws passed by Congress as well as presidential executive orders during the first term of the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt.
