Answer:

The movement for woman suffrage started in the early 19th century during the agitation against slavery. ... When Elizabeth Cady Stanton joined the antislavery forces, she and Mott agreed that the rights of women, as well as those of slaves, needed redress.

Immediately after the Civil War, Susan B. Anthony, a strong and outspoken advocate of women's rights, demanded that the Fourteenth Amendment include a guarantee of the vote for women as well as for African-American males. In 1869, Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton founded the National Woman Suffrage Association.

4. Which industries produced great profits and wealth in the late 1800s? What does this reveal
777dan777 [17]

Well an obvious answer would be slavery, depending on how late you're talking. After slavery ended, the country began what is known as the "industrial revolution". The north had already begun industrializing for a while, but in the 1870's and beyond, things ramped up quite a bit. Factories for clothes, shoes, farming equipment, packaged foods, and etc. became more popular. You also had coal mines, railroads, and steel mills. This showed the country was moving in the direction of mass production, and moving away from agricultural ways of living. This also meant child labor, which led to many child labor laws in the later years. This also meant many moved out of farming communities, and into larger, noisy, and crowded cities. Many immigrated to the US to take advantage of that, which led to some tension between communities.

Hope that helps!

During World War II, what happened between the Communists and Nationalists in China?
goldfiish [28.3K]

The correct answer is - Both sides agreed to stop fighting each other until World War II ended.

The communist and nationalist of China were constantly fighting with each other in able to gain power in the country. Than the Japanese invaded, and they decided to not fight each other, but instead fight the Japanese for the good of the country. Even though they were both fighting against the Japanese, they were actually fighting separately, and were not really collaborating between each other. Once the World War II ended, they returned to fight between themselves.

What is ironic about fortinbras becoming the new head of government?
Hitman42 [59]

Fortinbras can be considered as the antithesis of Hamlet. While the former is careful with the decisions he makes and actions he takes, Fortinbras is impulsive and highly determined to avenge the death of his father by any means possible.

There is irony in the unfoldment of events in the story because Fortinbras had been preparing himself for an eventual engagement in combat in order to avenge his father. However, this never really happened as he finds the throne vacant. On the other hand, Hamlet was initially reluctant of pursuing the throne but ultimately decides to avenge his father's death and claim the throne but dies in combat.
