1. x^2 + y^2 - 4x + 12y - 20 = 0 ---- (x-2)^2 + (y+6)^2 = 60

3. 3x^2+ 3y^2 + 12x +18y - 15 = 0 --- (x+2)^2 + (y+3)^2 = 18

5. 2x^2 + 2y^2 - 24x - 16y - 8 = 0 --- (x-6)^2 + (y-4)^2 = 56

I don't know the other two, hope I helped though.

What property is used in the second step of solving the inequality below?
Mkey [24]

Answer: The correct option is, (B) Addition property

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Addition property : In this property, whatever is added to one side of the equal sign must be added to the other side.

        For example : If x = y then x + z = y + z

  • Multiplication property : In this property, whatever is multiplied to one side of the equal sign must be multiplied to the other side.

        For example : If x = y then x × z = y × z

  • Transitive property : If one value (x) is equal to the another value (y), which is equal to the another value (z), then the first value (x) is equal to the third value (z).

        For example : If x = y and y = z then x = z

The given inequality expression is,

5x - 9 < 91

5x -9 + 9 < 91 + 9

(Using Addition property because we are adding 9 on both the side)

5x < 100

5x ÷ 5 < 100 ÷ 5

(Using Division property because we are dividing by 5 on both the side)

x < 20

Therefore, addition property is used in the second step of solving the inequality.

A quadratic function and an exponential function are graphed below. Which graph most likely represents the exponential function?
S_A_V [24]

Answer:

Option 2 is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given points of g(x) and f(x)

g(x)  has ordered pairs  (0,1) ,(1,2) ,(3,8) ,(5,32) and (6,64) this is an exponential function which is g(x)=2^x from the given points.

f(x) has ordered pairs (0,1) ,(1,2) ,(3,10) ,(5,26) and (6,37)  this is a quadratic function

We will put these values in the quadratic function which is:

ax^2+bx+c=y

Taking (0,1)

a(0)+b(0)+c=1

c=1

Now, taking (1,2)

a+b+1=2

a+b=1   (1)

Now, taking (3,10)

a(3)^2+b(3)+1=10

9a+3b=9      (2)

Now, solving the equation (1) and (2) we get:

a=1 and b=0

Hence, the function f(x)=x^2+1

Please look at the attachment for the graph

We can see that the g(x) an exponential function will eventually exceed the increasing quadratic function

Therefore, option 2 is correct.

How Can You Use Fractions to compare the landmass of Canada. Please answer
defon

Answer:

The way they put it, you would need to use ratios to compare the landmass of a region of Canada to another region of Canada. I don't know if this helps but I hope it does!

EDIT:

1/6 of the land is 7,451,000 people

1/9 of the land is 12,178,000 people

Total population is 30,647,000 people

Google helped sort of:

The West takes up 29/100 of Canada

The Territories takes up 39/100 of Canada

The Atlantic takes up something (Google wouldn't tell me)

39/100 of 30,647,000 is 11,952,330 people but there's only 99,000 people living there?
