Theme is basically just the topic or subject matter of something. Theme basically is referring to the main idea or moral of a story or any type of writing. Here is an example. "Rosie didn't know what to do. She accidentally broke her mom's priceless vase. She honestly didn't know if she should tell her mom the truth, or lie and pretend she didn't know about it." The theme of this would be conflict, or choosing good or bad. Hope I helped!

The theme is the main subject that you are going to write about in a essay or in a report. If you want to know more, just ask :)

Hi I'm learning English and I wanna know the difference among as long as, but, except and barring to refer to exception..
k0ka [10]
As long as isn't really used for exceptions.
Well, maybe in things like "You can have ice cream as long as you eat your veggies." Then it's a little like saying "You can have ice cream if you eat your veggies"

But
"You can have ice cream, but you need to eat your veggies first."

Except
"Everyone can have ice cream, except for Gally"

Barring
I'm not really sure about this one...

Um, I hope this helps!
