Bleeding Kansas and John Brown's Raid, were violent abolitionist movements, prior to the beginning of the Civil war in the 1860's, Uncle Tom's cabin was a novel written about a slave and his different owners and their personalities didnt detail the full cruelty of slavery, the Dred Scott decision was a slave going before the Supreme Court and asking for his freedom because of the ruling of the Missouri Compromise, yet was denied his freedom because African Americans didn't have the same freedoms or opportunities as others did. I would say that there are either all responses to the abolitionist movement prior to the Civil War

Name two factors besides incumbency that determine which candidates get pac donations?
Mashcka [7]
One factor is the views that you have. If you share the same views for the future with the PAC group then there's higher likeness that you will get their donations. One factor also is belonging in a committee that decides on legislature or something similar. If the PAC group wants some law to be passed, they'll support that committee that's in charge of it.

How did the Erie Canal help the national grow?
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

The Erie Canal is a 363-mile waterway that connects the Great Lakes with the Atlantic Ocean via the Hudson River in upstate New York. The channel, which traverses New York state from Albany to Buffalo on Lake Erie, was considered an engineering marvel when it first opened in 1825. The Erie Canal provided a direct water route from New York City to the Midwest, triggering large-scale commercial and agricultural development—as well as immigration—to the sparsely populated frontiers of western New York, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and points farther west. The canal transformed New York City into the young nation’s economic powerhouse, and in 2000 the U.S. Congress designated the Erie Canal a National Heritage Corridor.
