Supreme court found in favor of the government in this case because government was in favor of justice.

Explanation:

Base on racial and ethical group some times the decision of supreme court varies. Supreme court is head of the constitution. It give final decision in favor of justice. By keeping in view all the evidences and witnesses supreme court, government judge the case and give its final decision.

Some times supreme court appeals strict scrutiny for the evidences before giving final decision. Government also can appeal for review of the decision. And if the decision are taken into the lower courts then it ts obviously can take up to the supreme court.
