After the death of Queen Elizabeth I, there was constant conflict between her successors and Parliament. This led to a civil war.

One of the most important reasons for the constant conflicts between Parliament and the crown was the financial issue. Money. The king wanted more money for the crown but the Parliament was against this.

Another issue was the political and administrative power to rule the kingdom. The king did not want the Parliament to be a counterweight to his power, and mane conflicts arose.

Finally, the king demanded absolute power to control England, That absolutist attitude was never accepted by the members of the British Parliament.
