Imperialism would make the US economically competitive with other nations is an argument in favor of U.S Imperialism.

Option B

Explanation:

One of the factors of why US imperialism was favoured because it wanted to build an empire abroad and gain economic favors like the other nations. US desired what other rich countries like Britain did and tried to build a powerful empire, the US wanted the same honor and prestige.

The imperialism was seen as a major power for US economy and military power too. Expanding the empire would provide US with more raw materials and market of finished goods, it would also help the excess population to migrate into the other empires. Moreover, the US imperialism was also supported for its spread of Christianity into other nations.

What was the difference between north and south on the issue of slavery in the years leading up to the Civil War?
Papessa [141]

Answer: The major difference between the North and the South -- and the one most responsible for the Civil War -- was the institution of slavery. In the North, slavery was almost universally prohibited by the 1800s, while the institution was a cornerstone of Southern society. In the North, many blacks were free, and in states such as Massachusetts, New York and Ohio, 100 percent of the black population was free. In the states of the Confederacy, by contrast, few blacks were free.
