By definition, a prime number is only evenly divisible by itself, or the number 1, and it is greater than 1. If a number is composite, you can divide it evenly by numbers other than 1. For example, if you divide 7 by any integer other than 1, you end up with a fraction or decimal; therefore, 7 is prime. However, 8 is divisible by 2 and 4 (8/2 = 4, 8/4 = 2). Breaking down a number into its prime and composite factors is helpful for a number of mathematical processes. Hope that works out! :D
I can't make a tree very easily but I will still answer you question
a composite number, if you did not already know, is a number that can be divided by a diffarent whole number and still get a whole number (exg. 4/2=2=composite 5/2=a decimal=prime)
so one composit number is 16 the factored out tree is 2*8 2*4 2*2
another is 24 the factor tree is 2*12 2*6 2*3 hope you can see the tree as I typed it out
since the three is in the tens place and 7 in single if 5 and up round up fi 4 and below leave it alone you will then take the 3 and round up to give you 2,840
Honestly? Just review your notes and try to work out the problems yourself before taking a look at the answer. You can also google specific topics that the test will cover and try the practice problems.
