The autonomic nervous system supplies the organs of the body such as intestine, kidney etc and also controls the body functions.
It comprises of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.
SOME and not all visceral organs receive dual innervation(nerve supply) from both the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions of the autonomic system and it’s dependent on the functions of the organ.
