The correct answer is cell elongation.
<span>The phototropic response is induced grow of the plant by the light stimulus. This process is called phototropism. When phototropism occurs cells on the plant that are farthest from the light secrete a hormone called auxin which causes the plant to elongate those farthest cells.</span>
