We call vikings who settles in north-west France the normans because in the ancient regime this part was known as normandy.

In the pre historic periods humans were present as normans in the north west France. As per information collected from Julius Caesar they lived in enclosed agrarian towns in a separate regions. Normally those who change their settlement frequently like refugees knows as nomads.
