What if you were alive but “slept through” an event such as the American Revolution (or the events of 9/11, the Vietnam War, or

any number of other transformative conflicts)? What are the consequences of being apathetic or passive about public and personal life? To what extend are you a participant in your own times or life?

The consequences of being apathetic or passive in your own life is that you lose care for the world around you. Instead of fighting and having a voice for what is wrong or right you chose to ignore it. It is important to be aware of what is going on around you because at the the end of the day it will affect you. How? Not being educated on a certain issue makes you the victim. Knowledge is everything when it comes to overcoming and becoming powerful. I’m not sure how I would answer the second question. But as for me I really enjoy speaking up for others. For example like the Black Lives Matter Movement, feeding the homeless or helping kids in need. Joining a protest is also the best way to stay active. Fight for what you believe in and keep learning about the issues around you.

Which words in the sentence are the complete infinitive phrase?
hoa [83]
Infinitive phrases starts with infinitives that is, “to” added by a simple verb and can be used as nouns, adjectives or adverbs. In the case of including a main clause in the sentence, infinitive phrase separates it with comma. In the sentence: Because she had never baked a cake before, Sharon decided to follow the recipe carefully. A main clause is put first ‘Because she had never baked a cake before’ then a comma is added, so that means the infinitive phrase is ‘d. to follow the recipe carefully’.
