     Annie knew that Helen's parent wouldn't be there forever. Just pitying to her and tending to her every need was not good. When Helen's parents do that, they are pretty much saying that they would always be there for Helen. They are promising something they can't keep, which is a lie.

She meant that the Kellers<span> needed </span>to be<span> more positive around her and when they had pity for her they were basically saying that she wasn't ever going </span>to be<span> able to learn and learn more normaly</span>
