The Battle of Normandy was the victory that turned the tide of World War II in favor of the Allies in Europe. This land and sea invasion coordinated by the Allied Powers eventually lead to the liberation of France. Along with this, it caused the Germans to fight a two front war, facing the United States, Great Britain, and France in the west and the Soviet Union in the east.
