The right answer is "B. The students were punished for a nonviolent expression of their views."

The students were protesting peacefully against something they did not agree, which in the case was the Vietnam War. The right to protest must be preserved from any punishment, this is a constitutionally guaranteed right and is one of the points defended by democracy. However, by protesting peacefully, students were punished with a suspension by the school district.

It is important to emphasize that the use of public space for demonstration is as legitimate as freedom of movement or of transit. These rights are on the same level. Then, when there is a conflict between them, freedom of manifestation should be considered as forming part of the main artery of fundamental rights

In 100 words or less, explain the difference between indirect and direct characterization and provide one example of each.
Drupady [299]
Direct characterization is when an author clearly states in the text what kind of personality the character has. For example, if the author writes " Cidney was always sad" That would be direct characterization. Indirect characterization would be " Cidney always seemed to be frowing or pouting" which would then lead you to believe she's always sad. Both of those examples pretty much mean the same thing exept one is direct and the other is making you infer.

How might Macbeth be considered a superior or privileged person?
butalik [34]

Answer:

As the play opens he has just proved himself a superior soldier in battle. He is already a lord, but his performance on the battle field wins him the new title of Thane of Cawdor.

One of the oddities of the play is that he is married to a woman (now Lady Macbeth) who has had children, but Macbeth has no children. The Scottish Lord upon whom Macbeth is based was married to a woman who was older than he. Presumably the Macbeth of the play must have gained some additional wealth and/or advantage through the marriage to a woman who enjoyed some position. Since the King was invited to stay at Macbeth’s castle we can assume he had the advantage of some wealth and prestige.

The three basic components of the production of speech are respiration, phonation, and?
Phantasy [73]

The three basic components of the production of speech are respiration, phonation, and articulation.

Because It involves four processes: phonation, articulation, and the oro-nasal process. The configuration and interaction of the articulators during the production of a spoken sound are known as the method of articulation in articulatory phonetics. The stricture—or, more specifically, the proximity of the speech organs to one another—is a factor in style.

Sound-making is referred to as articulation. Together, the lips, tongue, teeth, palate (roof of the mouth), and respiratory system work in unison to create sounds (lungs). For speech, a variety of nerves and muscles are used. There is no pause button for an audience. They are unable to rewind and replay a speech to make it clearer. Your voice is the vehicle via which your message travels, so it is crucial that you speak as clearly as you can.
