"Soviets follow Stalin so eagerly despite his atrocities because under the Stalinist Soviet government, people benefited from some social liberalization. Girls were given an adequate, equal education and women had equal rights in employment, improving lives for women and families."

Answer:  The correct answer is :  The Soviets followed Stalin despite all the atrocities he committed because people did not know the reality of him since Stalin manipulated all the information to create a false image of himself so that the Soviets would think that he was a good leader. The media should also show favorable images of him and think he was a peaceful person. In addition Stalin conditioned the younger generation to honor him above their families.

kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

First, it ensures that citizens make responsible, informed choices rather than acting out of ignorance or misinformation. Second, information serves a “checking function” by ensuring that elected representatives uphold their oaths of office and carry out the wishes of those who elected them. Perhaps the most important role of the media in politics is to report the news. As noted above, the vast majority of people must trust the media to provide them with information.
