Dissemble means to conceal your thought or feeling. I figured out my definition because I know that dis mean "not" and semble means to seem. So if you attach the words together it is "not seem." This proves that the word dissemble means to conceal or hide your thoughts.

20. The new research (that demonstrated the effect of garlic on the cancer cells) was published last
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Answer:

Defining relative clause

Explanation:

Defining relative clause are sentences used to display essential information from previously used sentences or terms, that is, these clauses are added in a text to increase the understanding of something that was previously presented. These clauses are usually separated from the rest of the text by commas, parentheses and even dashes.

In relation to the sentence above, we can see that the sentence "that demonstrated the effect of garlic on the cancer cells" is referring to and adding explanatory information to the term "The new research" written earlier. For this reason, we can consider it a defining relative clause.

Which synonym best replaces the word labyrinth in the sentence below?
Ksju [112]

Answer:

maze

Explanation:

The definition of labyrinth alone is “a complicated irregular network of passages or paths in which it is difficult to find one's way; a maze” (dictionary) so the word maze, being in the definition, makes the most sense. An entanglement, jungle, or web doesn’t correctly define the word and wouldn’t work as replacements.
