"What's stopping you?" "If opportunity doesn't knock- build a door!" "If you say you're cooler then me, does that make me hotter than you?" And my personal favorite- "Make 10 men feel like 100." A letter to your aunt inviting her to your speech and prize giving day
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

Explanation:

Dear Aunt .........,

You will be glad to know that I am going to award a special prize at the annual prize day ceremony at my school. I have secured full marks in science and maths in all three terms among all five sections of the ninth class. Therefore I have been chosen for this honor. The name of the prize is George Wesley Memorial Award for the best student in English and History. The prize carries a gold medal and scholarship of Rs. 2500.

The best thing about the entire affair is the will to receive it from our former president Shri A P J Abdul Kalam, an eminent scientist and visionary. He is the chief guest of the annual prize day this year. I am very excited and thrilled about my achievement plus receiving the honor from the hands of such a great personality.

I also feel thankful from the bottom of my heart to my teachers, God, and my parents whose support and guidance I can achieve this success. I also need your wishes and blessings for my life ahead. Please convey my regards to my uncle and love to Nayanika.

Your .......,

PLEASE HELP!
maks197457 [2]

Answer and Explanation:

The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock is a poem by T. S. Eliot. The speaker is a lonely man, socially and sexually frustrated, who observes the world from a distance. He does not dare approach people, especially women. Instead, he predicts what they will say about him, how they will criticize him. And, thus, he only gets more and more lonely.

In the first stanza, Prufrock invites "you" to come with him to the streets, the hotels, the restaurants. However, he describes those places in a way that is not very inviting. He uses adjectives such as "cheap" and "tedious". Perhaps this is a sign that Prufrock's fear of being judged by others comes from his own tendency to judge harshly. Take a look at the first stanza below:

Let us go then, you and I,

When the evening is spread out against the sky

Like a patient etherized upon a table;

Let us go, through certain half-deserted streets,

The muttering retreats

Of restless nights in one-night cheap hotels

And sawdust restaurants with oyster-shells:

Streets that follow like a tedious argument

Of insidious intent

To lead you to an overwhelming question ...

Oh, do not ask, “What is it?”

Let us go and make our visit.
