1/9 (2m - 16 ) = 1/3 (2m + 4)
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

m =-7

Step-by-step explanation:

1/9 (2m - 16 ) = 1/3 (2m + 4)

Multiply each side by 9 to get rid of the fractions

9*1/9 (2m - 16 ) =9* 1/3 (2m + 4)

2m-16 = 3(2m+4)

Distribute

2m-16 = 6m +12

Subtract 2m from each side

2m-16 -2m = 6m-2m +12

-16 = 4m +12

Subtract 12 from each side

-16-12 = 4m+12-12

-28 = 4m

Divide each side by 4

-28/4 = 4m/4

-7 =m

Write the decimal as a fraction
kozerog [31]

Answer:3/25

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we multiplied 0.12 with 100 to get 12, it is important to divide 12 by 100 so that it will remain equivalent to 0.12. By doing so, we have a fraction as shown below: Notice that, we can simplify 12/100 by dividing the numerator and denominator with 4. Hence, we get 3/25.

X/2 greater than equal to 10
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

For x/2 to be greater than or equal to 10, you must try out a few numbers.

If x = 20...

x/2 greater than or equal to 10

= 20/2 greater than or equal to 10

= 10 greater than or equal to 10.

So the answer for x is:

x = 20 or more

Hope this helps!!!

In a study of 250 adults, the mean heart rate was 70 beats per minute. Assume the population of heart rates is known to be appro
pantera1 [17]
The z score for a confidence level of 99% is 2.575.. You need to know this to complete this type of problem.. the other two commonly used confidence levels are 90% and 95% having z scores of 1.645 and 1.96 respectively. You need to memorize this!

To find the confidence interval, it will be defined as the sample mean plus/minus the margin of error.. Now to find the margin of error, divide the standard deviation of 12 by the square root of the number of elements in your sample(√250). Then take that result and multiply it by the Z score I mentioned above for a 99% confidence level.

In this case: the sample mean is 70 and the margin of error is approximately 1.95

So to calculate the confidence interval, do the following:
70 - 1.95 = 68.05 rounded to the nearest whole number is 68
70 + 1.95 = 71.95 rounded to the nearest whole number is 72

Looks like that would be the last choice. hope this helps.. it's been awhile since my work with statistics :-)
