An easy way to remember the indirect object, is to tell yourself that it is the recipricant of the direct object. The direct object in this case would be <em>solution</em>, and the term "us" would be recieving that. Who recieved the solution? Us.
I don’t see an italicized word? But gazed could be looking intently and in admiration. Dazzled could be amazed or kind of charming. Exotic could be unique or special.
One of the things that are alike in the two poems is the use of imagery. In the poem The Golden cat it's comparing the cat to the sun. In The Cat and The Moon it's comparing the cat to the moon. In the two poems both cats are outside.
