Jefferson notes that “all men created equal”, suggesting that this was “self evident”. What is meant by this statement
aliina [53]

Jefferson wrote all men are equal which meant that people were born with some inalienable rights like right to live free without being under the control of others.

Although in reality, Thomas Jefferson had many slaves under his control and he had progeny from one of his slaves. That statement proclaimed that every individual has to be included regardless of race, religion or gender.

But when he wrote ‘All men are equal”, he may have not considered women and slaves. It may sound hypocritical but it has taken more than a century to really internalize the meaning of equality.

How was the Immigration Act of 1924 a means of fulfilling the desire of some Americans to stop the spread of “undesirables”, and
Alborosie

Answer:

Immigration Act of 1924

Explanation:

The Immigration Act of 1924 limited the number of immigrants coming into the United States. For the first time, this act limited immigration in the country by establishing a national origin quota system. They tried to reduce immigration because of World War I and the dislike of foreigners particularly from Russia and Eastern Europe. The 1924 act excluded effect on Asian or African immigration.

Senator Meyer Jacobstein argued against immigration limitations in 1924 in a congressional speech. He gave his statement supporting the Constitution, which allowed everyone to be equal in America. According to him, the 1924 Act put specific people in the status of superior and another as inferior.

In what ways does Siberia present Russia with great advantages and great challenges?
AnnZ [28]
#1) In what ways does Siberia present Russia with great advantages and great challenges?

Answer: Siberia's enormous natural resources are being exploited by Russia. This vast area has long been seen as somewhere to be plundered and exploited for profit. It's just virgin territory that needs to be tamed and turned into contracts and cash, and that presents a big challenge. Today it is still the object of crude and inhuman economic and enviromental management on a massive scale.
