Compound sentences are joined together by subordinating conjunctions. Compound sentences are with commas before or after the independent clause

Explanation:

Sentences that have one subject a verb and a single object is called as simple sentences. Sentences which have two independent clauses and they are joined together by a comma or by a subordinating conjunction then it is called as compound sentence.

Complex sentences have at least one independent clause and one dependent clause. An independent clause contains an action verb and a subject employed in them. However is the subordinating conjunction that is used to join the two independent clauses in the given sentence.

Conjunctions are also called as connectors as they connect the sentences in order to give proper meaning to the sentence.
