A. Analyze the cartoon. According to the artist, what was the result of The Treaty of Versailles? (5 points)

The Cartoon shows that before the signature of the Treaty of Versailles world was full of death. Death is portrayed by a soldier that is only bones crawling on earth. After the Treaty of Versailles darkness is out, the sun is shining and there are peace and hope again. Peace and hope are represented by a dove flying.

B. Do you agree with the artist's evaluation of the results of the treaty? Explain your answer. (5 points)

The Treaty of Versailles was the treaty that ended WWI and imposed a series of consequences over the defeated Central Powers. To the ones that sided with the victorious nations, the Treaty could be seen as a good one, but it later became one of the main reasons for WWII. That is why I do not agree with the evaluation of the Treaty.

C. List 2 provisions of the Treaty of Versailles and state the effect each had on Germany (10 points)

Article 231 also called the guilt clause, demanded Germany to accept the responsibility for causing the damage of the war and that Germany would pay reparations that were set around 33 billion dollars at the time.

Articles 81-93 demanded Germany renounce territorial claims such as Czechoslovakia and West Prussia which became Poland.

These Articles later became a big problem and one of the main reasons for WWII. Most of the population of Germany fell into poverty because the country was very poor trying to recover from the war and pay the debts with other nations. Hitler knew that and grew in power making people get rebelled against the Treaty.

What was an argument made by Virginia in support of colonial rights to cross the Ohio river?
malfutka [58]

The correct answer is D) its charter granted Virginia land across the continent.

An argument made by Virginia in support of colonial rights to cross the Ohio River was " its charter granted Virginia land across the continent."

Virginia colonists wanted to settle in the Ohio county because they wanted to trade furs with the Native American Indians. They created the Ohio Company of Virginia to purchase land in the region. It was supported by Britain and the Virginia colonist had an agreement with the Indians, but France claimed that the land was theirs. And this problem was part f the conflicts that led to the French and Indian War.
