 Later, dannys reaction to fire is that he knows it is dangerous but has no conditioned fear of it. The amygdala is the part of the brain which fuction for the regulation or control of emotions, memory and survival insticts. Since it was damaged, he would feel anything and would see a sense of urgency to get out of that place.
