How did imperialism effect Africa?
s2008m [1.1K]
The Berlin Conference first started the eruption (European countries came together and essentially split up Africa).
South Africa became a part of Africa that the British Empire wanted because of its diamonds and gold on the already indigenous people living there called the Boers. The Boers and British fought to gain control creating the Boer Wars. In the end the British won and took over their colony and instituted an all white government. Later on the Native’s Land Act (1913) was created making only certain areas of the country could be owned by Africans.
