Audition is the sense that is associated with the hearing, temporal lobe. The sound has been funneled through the external ear and piped from the external canal.

The sound will reach out to the tympanic membrane. The tympanic membrane is the thin layer that vibrates when sound funneled through the external ear. The vibration travels through the external ear to the middle ear then inner ear. This process will help us in hearing the sounds.  

Thus the audition is the sense that is related to the temporal lobe that helps us in hearing.
