Evolution is usually defined as the change that occurs in the genetic characteristics of a particular species over a long period of time. This changes occurs when a particular species adopts to get fit into another environment, and in doing this, the characteristics of that species gets evolved, as a result of which there occurs certain changes or modification in their genes. This is commonly known as the theory of natural selection.
