No, the 2 lines can never ever be both parallel and perpendicular if I'm not mistaken. This is because a set of parallel lines will never touch each other at all. However perpendicular lines are two lines that meet up to get an angle of 90. You cannot have two lines that never touch and touch at the same time.

Question 6 (2 points)
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Ratio = 3 : 2

Length =3x

Width = 2x

Perimeter = 50 inches

2*(length + width ) = 50

2* (3x + 2x ) = 50

       2* 5x    = 50

               10x = 50

                  x = 50/10

x = 5

Length = 3*5 = 15 inches

Width = 2*5   =  10 inches

Hey guys how do you simplify this fully?
Masja [62]

Answer:

32

Step-by-step explanation:

In 100^1000,

100 can be written as,

100 = 10 x 10 = 10^2

100^1000

= 10^( 2 * 1000 )

= 10^2000

10 can be written as,

10 = 2 x 5

10^2000

= ( 2 x 5 )^2000

Formula : -

( a x b )^n = a^n x b^n

Here,

a = 2

b = 5

n = 2000

( 2 x 5 )^2000 = 2^2000 x 5^2000

[ 2^2005 x 5^2000 ] / 100^1000

= [ 2^2005 x 5^2000 ] / [ 2^2000 x 5^2000 ]

Formula : -

a^m x b^n / a^c x b^d

= a^( m - c ) x b^( n - d )

Here,

a = 2

m = 2005

c = 2000

b = 5

n = d = 2000

[ 2^2005 x 5^2000 ] / [ 2^2000 x 5^2000 ]

= 2^( 2005 - 2000 ) x 5^( 2000 - 2000 )

= 2^5 x 5^0

{ Note : Any number power 0 ( except 0 ) is 1.

That is 0^0 ≠ 1, but 5^0 = 1. }

= 2^5 x 1

= 2^5

= 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

= 32

What is the equation in slope-intercept form of the line that passes through the points (0, −4) and (2, 0)?
Nastasia [14]

Answer:

y = 2x -4

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope intercept form is  y = mx + b where <em>m </em>is the slope and <em>b </em>is the y-intercept.

Slope is \frac{rise}{run} or \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2-x_1} in this case = \frac{0 - (-4)}{2 - 0} = \frac{4}{2} = 2

Substitute one of the coordinates for x and y. I am going to use (0, -4) so:

-4 = 2(0) + b\\-4 = 0 + b\\-4 = b

since m = 2 and b = -4, we can conclude that the equation would be

y = 2x -4
