Answer:

The best clue that can be used to decide living thing or not a living thing is the observation of living or dead cells present in the specimen. All the living or dead organisms exhibit cells. Cell is a structural and functional unit of life. The growth and metabolism of living organism are dependent upon a cell. A cell in a life form exhibit organelles and components which are not found in non-living objects.

A cell has all chromosomes lined along the middle of the cell (metaphase plate, equatorial plate). The NEXT phase will be:
Bogdan [553]

Answer:

E. Anaphase

Explanation:

Metaphase is the phase of cell division during which all the chromosomes are lined along the cell's equator with help of spindle apparatus.

Metaphase is followed by anaphase during which the splitting of centromere separates sister chromatids from each other. The sister chromatids are now called daughter chromosomes. The daughter chromosomes move to opposite poles during anaphase.

larisa86 [58]

Answer:

Facilitated diffusion

Explanation:

Facilitated diffusion is the transport of hydrophilic molecules that can not freely cross the membrane. Channel protein and many carrier proteins are in charge of this transport. When uncharged molecules cross the membrane, they do it according to their concentration gradients, going from the more concentrated side to the lower concentrated one. When ions need to cross the membrane, the process depends on an electrochemical gradient.

Facilitated diffusion is a passive transport process because they only depend on electrochemical gradients, so they do not need any energy to occur.
