He could be jealous, he may not know why he wasn't picked which may make him mad. He may also feel like everyone else is better then him since he didn't get picked

The main reasons would most likely be jealousy and anger.
Jealousy, because other dance participants were picked over your friend and allowed to participate. Anger, because your friend most likely believed that he had all the qualifications to be picked, and yet he was not.
Disappointment at not being picked, also fits in too.

Aleks04 [339]

The correct answers are A. People without a high school degree tend to earn  less than people with a high school degree. D. People with doctoral or professional degrees earn  more, on average, than people with other degrees.

Explanation:

The graph shows the average wage for people with different degrees or levels of education from individuals with some but not complete high school education to individuals with doctoral or professional degrees.

Two of the factors this graph shows is that having a high school degree is associated with higher wages than people without it (option A) and that the highest degrees are associated to doctoral and professional levels (option D). The first factor is proved in the graph because people without a school degree earn in average less than $40.000, while people with this degree can earn $40.000. On the other hand, the second conclusion is shown in the graph because people with a professional or doctoral degree earn almost $120.000, which is higher than the wage earn by people with any other degree.

Passage 1 Jackie Robinson began his professional baseball career in 1945 with the Kansas City Monarchs, one of the leading teams
LenKa [72]

Answer:

A. Athletes who overcame incredible obstacles to excel in sports.

Explanation:

As seen in the given passages, both passages talk about the way both Jackie Robinson and Wilma Rudolph came to be sports greats. The passages contain details about how both of them overcame the many and hard obstacles to get to where they are now.

Passage 1 provides details of the great baseball legend Jackie Robinson and his way to becoming one of the greats in the game and also the very first black man to play in the Major Leagues in the 20th century. His journey was filled with <em>"malicious catcalls and racial slurs shouted from the stands and even anonymous death threats"</em>, even at times enduring <em>"rival players [who] threw pitches at Robinson’s head, spat on him when he slid into a base and attempted to injure him with the spikes on their shoes"</em>.

Passage 2 reveals the journey of Wilma Rudolph who had to overcome <em>"pneumonia, polio, and scarlet fever"</em> that left her unable to walk properly. But despite all odds, she came to be<em> "one of America’s first great track and field athletes"</em>.

Thus, <u>both passages provide information about these two athletes who overcame incredible obstacles to be what they are now, excelling in their own fields.</u>
