The common cultural trait which is addressed in both story "The Youngest Doll" and the myth of "Pandora?" is definitely b. the role of gender in societal structures. Even though Pandora was the first mortal woman created by the gods she did not get a royal treatment due to her gender. The protagonist of “The Youngest Doll’’ stucks with mistreatment and makes herself dolls which represent society's standards of women. Both characters have to deal with high expectations about their place in society.

Lera25 [3.4K]
Prior to Dee leaving home, the everyday objects in her household were just that- everyday objects. She took no special notice of any of them. However, once she returns home, all of these objects represent great culture significance to her. She is incredibly enthused about how great the wooden benches and old quilts are because she thinks it is in-style to be in touch with her own culture.

The foul odor that caused the narrator and Thompson to flee into the cold is the Limburger Cheese. Of course they thought it was the rotting corpse but the pine box did not contain a dead body, instead inside were a bunch of guns.
