Jean Piaget was a theorist and philosopher who developed theories of "hyperreality" and "simulacrum."

Facts

1. He is an expert on the study of mollusks by his teen years.

2. His studies of learning in young children led to the development of the constructivist theory of knowledge.

3. He was also a psychologist.

4. As the Director of the International Bureau of Education, he declared in 1934 that “only education is capable of saving our societies from possible collapse, whether violent, or gradual.”

5. His theory of cognitive development and epistemological view are together called “genetic epistemology”.
