The mild manners of Robert show that his id was maintained under strict actions of control. It is so due to the development of his ego. Robert's ego might be well developed as he does not engage in inappropriate behaviours.

The fact that Robert is more of an introvert and has a reserved personality shows that this could be a result of latency and Robert might have not developed proper social skills during puberty.
