Job training had a positive effect on the Group 1 and it would be beneficial for the second group to have had it too.

Explanation:

In series analysis one compares two set of data in terms of their initial points and their final results and within if there are fluctuations in the matter during the series. In ere, the data given is of two points that is the initial data and the final data.

The two data points clearly show that the two groups were equivalent in 2003 but the first group which received job raining ended up progressing more than the second group so it is beneficial to get the job training that was offered.

kvasek [131]

Answer: Please find answers in the explanation column

Explanation: Given

Products Sales Revenue Traditional ABC

Product 540X 198,200 54,440 45,520

Product 137Y 158,700 49,090 39,290

Product 249S 83,190 11,290 30,010

a) computing operating income using the traditional costing system for each product.

1) Product 540X

Operating income = Revenues - Operating cost

198,200 - 54,440= $143,760

2)) Product 137Y

Operating income = Revenues - Operating cost

158,700 - 49,090= $109,610

3) Product 249S

Operating income = Revenues - Operating cost

83,190 - 11,290 = $71,900

b) computing operating income using the activity-based costing system for each product.

1) Product 540X

Operating income = Revenues - Operating cost

198,200 - 45,520= $152,680

2)) Product 137Y

Operating income = Revenues - Operating cost

158,700 - 39,290= $119,410

3) Product 249S

Operating income = Revenues - Operating cost

83,190 - 30,010 = $53,180

c) Using the following formula, computing the percentage difference in operating income for each of the product lines of Sunland

PProduct 540X ={Operating Income (ABC)-Operating Income traditional cost)]divided operating Income (traditional cost)

= ($152,680 -$143,760)/$143,760 X 100 =8,920/143760X 100= 6.20%

Product 137Y ={Operating Income (ABC)-Operating Income traditional cost)]divided operating Income (traditional cost)

= ( $119,410 -$109,610)/$109,610 X 100 =9800/109610 X100= 8.94%

Product 249S ={Operating Income (ABC)-Operating Income traditional cost)]divided operating Income (traditional cost)

= ( $53,180-$71,900)/$71,900 X 100 =-18,720/71900X 100

= -26.04%

The common stock of Alpha Manufacturers has a beta of 1.14 and an actual expected return of 15.26 percent. The risk-free rate of
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer: d. The actual expected stock return indicates the stock is currently underpriced.

Explanation:

According to CAPM, the expected return is:

= Risk free rate + beta * (market return - risk free rate)

= 4.3% + 1.14 * (12.01% - 4.3%)

= 13.09%

The actual expected return is greater than the CAPM expected return.

This stock is underpriced because it is bringing in a higher return than CAPM predicted based on the market.

KATRIN_1 [288]

Answer:

B) No, there was insufficient consideration because Sue did not promise anything in exchange

Explanation:

Remember, in law for there to be consideration there must be something of value (between the parties concerned, which is exchanged for the performance or promise of performance by the other party (such performance itself is consideration).

Thus, it could be said that Marcy's agreement to throw a party for Sue lacked insufficient consideration since there was no stated value because Sue did not promise anything in exchange.
