The US Supreme Court ruled that the recount ordered by the Florida Supreme Court was unconstitutional. The court based this decision on the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment. It ruled that recounting only the votes rejected by machine in only four counties gave preferential treatment to certain votes in an arbitrary way, violating the equal treatment of all people in the state, and in this case, their right to vote. How did Ellis Island differ from Angle Island? *
JulijaS [17]
B. Immigrants left Ellis Island within hours; they often remained in Angel Island for weeks.

Immigrants in Angel Island came from Asian countries, specifically, China, Japan, Russia, and South Asia. Upon arriving in Angel Island, they have to undergo medical examination and interrogation process.

The length of time an immigrant spend on Angel Island varies on the length of his or her interrogation process. Some immigrants produce false paperwork, which lengthened their interrogation process because the authenticity of said paperwork must be verified before they can be granted entry to the United States.

Answer:

railroads must clearly publish and honor posted schedules and fees

Explanation:

During the late 1800s, railway companies were shortchanging their customers by hiking the prices of tickets to only some customers and as a result, the Interstate Commerce Act was passed in 1887 to stop this anomaly.
