Answer:

The frequency of the dominant allele is 0.7.

Explanation:

If the population is in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, the genotypic frequencies are:

p² = freq (AA)

2pq = freq (Aa)

q² = freq (aa)

where p is the frequency of the dominant A allele and q is the frequency of the recessive q allele.

The dominant phenotype of the trait occurs 91% of the time, so

p² + 2pq = 0.91

And therefore the recessive phenotype appears in 9% of the cases:

q² = 1 - 0.91 = 0.09

The frequency of the recessive q allele is thus:

q = √0.09

q=0.3

And because we only have two alleles, the frequencies of both must add to 1.

p + q = 1

p = 1 - q

p = 1 - 0.3

p = 0.7

What physical change occurs quite frequently in middle-aged men?
Oliga [24]

Answer: A) Balding

Explanation:

Balding is the most common pshysical change in middle-aged men.

Generally speaking, men between 35 and 40 years old develop a state of baldness that although it is not aggravated, it is notorious. Some men even begin to lose their hair at an earlier age, approximately 25 years old and older, although in those cases it is very likely that the cause is a genetic tendency.

Normally, after a certain age range (stated above) the hair fiber begins to lose strength and said follicles simply do not allow hair growth so fast as they did when the individual was younger.

If you need to prevent waves from eroding a beach, what would you do
Zielflug [23.3K]
Waves erode a beach by pressing continually against them, right? I have heard of this happening many times. What the people do is build a small trench around the outside of the beach so the waves filter down into it, then back out instead of washing up against the sand. The other thing they do is wait a couple years for the beach to go down, then they put in new sand during the winter.

While swabbing objects to sample bacteria, you want to create a negative control to ensure that you are practicing proper asepti
irina1246 [14]

The result which would be seen from a properly prepared negative control is nothing.

What is a Negative control?

This type of control is used to test and ensure that in the absence of the antigen we do not still get a positive reaction.

Since proper aseptic technique was practised and there was no swabbing of the surface then there would be nothing seen in the properly prepared negative control.
