Which statement directly describes the cells produced by meiosis
kogti [31]

Answer:

The statement '<em>the genetic material of the original cell is divided among the new cells</em>' describes how cells are produced in meiosis process.

<u>Explanation: </u>

<em>In meiosis a single cell is divided into twice to form four cells and it contains the original half amount of 'genetic information'.</em> In meiosis, the two cells are called daughter cells are produced, and each identical cells to the parent cell meiosis are produced four haploid cells and mitosis are produced two diploid cells.

<em>The meiosis cell division is to reduces the number of 'chromosomes' in the parent cell by its half portion and also they produce four gamete cells.</em> In this process they required to produce 'eggs and sperm' cells for the sexual reproduction .It is the main aim to make a daughter cells with same half so many 'chromosomes' as the starting cell.

Hey guys! Can you help with two questions? 1. How did I get a trait that neither of my parents had? 2. What is the probability t
astraxan [27]
1.The trait is recessive. This means both your parents were carries, but did not show the trait. For example, B represents the allele, you're parents would have to both be Bb. This means that they are carriers, and you could have inherited either BB/Bb/bb - you actually inherited bb, which means because its a recessive trait you will show the trait.

2. For your children, it depends on who you have them with. Because you're bb, you will definitely pass on the b allele, so any child you have would be a carrier and could potentially have the trait. If you have a child with someone BB, all your offspring will be Bb (carriers- as the kid gets one allele form each parent). If you have a child with someone who is bb, all your kids would definitely have the trait. However, if you have a child with someone who as Bb, then the four outcomes are Bb Bb bb bb, so there would be a 50% chance of your kid having the trait.

Hope this helps!! :)

In an enzyme immunoassay, the enzyme
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

is bound to the constant region of the secondary antibody.

Explanation:

Enzyme immunoassays are the techniques used to detect the presence of antigens with the help of antibodies. Each of the antibody molecules has a constant and variable region.

The primary antibodies are added to the wells. The constant region of the secondary antibody is bound to an enzyme while its variable region is free so that it can bind to the specific antigen.

Addition of substrate to the system is followed by visualization and/or evaluation of antigen as the reaction between enzyme and substrate produce some visible changes such as color change.
