Answer:

0.186

Explanation:

For computing the probability of not win either project first we have to calculate the probability of wining of project A or project B which is shown below:

P(A or B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A & B)

              = 0.70 + 0.38 - 0.70 × 0.38

               = 1.08 - 0.266

              = 0.814

P(neither) = 1 - P(A or B)

  = 1 - 0.814

  = 0.186

We simply applied the above formula so that the probability of the company that it does not win either project comes

Answer: C. $19,500,000.

Explanation:MVA(MARKET VALUE ADDED) is a measurement that is used to describe the difference between the market value to a company and the capital contributed by both the shareholders and the bondholders.

WHEN THE MARKET VALUE ADDED IS HIGH IT SIGNIFIES THAT THE COMPANY IS GENERATING ENOUGH MONEY TO COVER THE COST OF CAPITAL.

MVA= (market value-stockholders contribution).

Market value =$39.5*1000000shares

= $39,500,000

MVA= $39,500,000-$20,000000
