Write an expression for the volume of a rectangularprism if the length is 25 cm shorter than some given amount, x, and the width
seraphim [82]

The volume of a prism is given by:

V=lwh

We know that the height is x. The length is 25 shorter than x, this can be express as:

x-25

The width is 14 longer than x, this can be express as:

x+14

Plugging the expressions for the length, the width and the height we have that:

\begin{gathered} V=(x-25)(x+14)x \\ V=x(x-25)(x+14) \end{gathered}

Therefore, the volume of the prism is:

V=x(x-25)(x+14)

I need the complete answer to this problem, please circle the final answer and what I should write
goblinko [34]

Answer:

f(t) = 8400(1.0018)^{12t}

2.22%

Step-by-step explanation:

$8400 is invested in an account earning 2.2% interest (APR), compounded monthly.

So, the value of the account after t years will be given by

f(t) =  8400 (1 + \frac{2.2}{12 \times 100} )^{12t} = 8400(1.0018)^{12t}        {Rounded to the four decimal places} (Answer)

Now, for t = 1 year, f(1) = $8586.67

So, the percentage of growth per year (APY) = \frac{(8586.67 - 8400) \times 100}{8400} = 2.22% {Rounded to the nearest hundredth of percent} (Answer)

Which could be the first step in simplifying this expression? Check all that apply. (x^3x^-6)^2
allsm [11]
If the expression is what I understand it is, this is my answer. (x to the third times x to the negative sixth all squared)

First, i would simplify what is inside the parentheses. x^-6 is the equivalent to
1/x^6. Therefore, the expression inside the parentheses is a fraction: x^3/x^6.

When dividing numbers with exponents, just subtract the exponents.
3-6= -3     so the simplification of the expression in the parentheses is 1/x^3.

To finish the problem, I would apply the square from outside the parentheses to the values inside them. In this way, the exponent would be multiplied by 2.

Our final answer is 1/x^6.
