This has lead to big similarities between the Northwestern US and between British Columbia in terms of the landscapes of both regions.
There is no river called the “Mesopotamian river”. Mesopotamia ( modern day Iraq) has two main rivers called Tigris & one called the Euphrates. The rivers were used for farming & drinking.
