Answer:

the coordinates of E and G :E (-2 . -1) , G(1,0)

E G and BC are parallel has been shown in the explanation below

Step-by-step explanation:

The coordinate of E and G is

E (-2 . -1)

G(1,0)

To find out how E and G they are parallel to each other you have to find the slop between them

Slope formula is

m= y₂ -y₁ /x₂- x₁

y₁ = -1   , y₂ = 0 , x₁= -2 , x₂=1

then after putting values we get

m = 0-(-1) / 1-(-2)

m = 1/3

Now use formula to find the slope between B and C then

y₁ = 1   , y₂ = 3 , x₁= -3 , x₂=3

m = 3-1 / 3-(-3)

m = 1/3

so slope between B and C is also 1/3

20x+3=17 help please
jeyben [28]
The objective is to get the variable (x) alone. To do this start be subtracting 3. What you do to one side you have to do to the other so you have to subtract three from the other side of the equal sign as well. So now you have:
20x= 17-3 subtract the 3 to get 20x=14
Now because the 20 is attached to the x In order to get the x alone you have to divide by 20:
20x/20. =14/20 divide 14 by 20

X=.7 or x=7/10

A tire manufacturer has a 60,000 mile warranty for tread life. The manufacturer considers the overall tire quality to be accepta
Feliz [49]

Answer:

(A)The sample comes from a population of tires with 60,000 miles where 5% of tires are worn out.

Step-by-step explanation:

The tire manufacturer has a 60,000 mile warranty for tread life. To verify the authenticity of its claim, it picks a sample of 250 tires (out of the population of tires) that have been used for 60,000 miles.

Given the hypothesis:

H_0: The proportion of tires that are worn out after 60,000 miles is equal to 0.05.

H_a: The proportion of tires that are worn out after 60,000 miles is less than 0.05.

It is assumed that 5% of the tires in the sample are worn out and the hypothesis is formulated to prove or disprove this assumption.
