How cancelling elections, Buddhist practices, and the Vietcong all represent challenges the U.S. faced supporting their allies i
yKpoI14uk [10]

The US involvement in Vietnam was a one to forget by the US, as it brought them lot of shame and shaken reputation among the international community. The US thought that Vietnam would be easy to take over, but they very wrong. The elections in the country were canceled, which led to a situation where there wasn't official governing body, creating chaos. The Buddhist practices were going in the advantage of the US enemy, as the Buddhists were not very fond of the Western world and the imposition of its culture and religion it tried to do. The Viet Cong, a strong and very well organized paramilitary organization, was against the US, and it was an organization that had people all over the country, knew the terrain very well, and its members were very well equipped and motivated. All of these factors led to a defeat of the US army in Vietnam, thus losing the Vietnam War.

Why did Hitler believe that war with the Soviet Union would not be “Knightly Affair”?
STALIN [3.7K]
Hitler not only despised communism but he also had an irrational and highly racist view of the Soviet union citizens. Through his evil charisma and charm as well as propaganda many of his soldiers thought of citizens of the Soviet union as being inferior beings as a result vicious tactics were used by the Germans particularly early on when they were gaining ground fast and efficiently. Committing atrocities throughout the country whether it was burning down villages or killing citizens there was nothing traditional about how Hitler's Nazi's viewed the war in the Eastern front. Sadly and more well known is the despicable racism and genocide of Jewish people during this time. But Hitler was not just a racist of Jewish people, pretty much anyone of non "Aryan" descent and was an inferior being in his eyes and many of his followers. So Hitler view operation Barbarosa as an untraditional warfare of complete annihilation in order for the German people to have more "living space" .
