Ok I’m going to use some bible verses for this.
In the Old Testament Jesus’ death was fulfilled several times. In Zechariah 13:7 for example it says, “God will strike the shepherd and his sheep will scatter.” When the Roman soldiers arrested Jesus and took him to Pilate, the disciples had abandoned Jesus. In Psalm 22:18 it says, “They divide my garments among themselves and throw dice for my clothing.” That is exactly what the soldiers did when Jesus was on the cross. In Psalm 34:20 it says, “For the Lord protects the bones of the righteous; not one of them is broken!” This verse refers to when Jesus died the soldier did not break his leg bones ( as was the custom in crucifixion, because by breaking the legs of the criminals it speeded up the dying process.) So you see His death was prophesied many times in the Bible and all of those prophecies came true. But most importantly Jesus died to save us of our sins so that one day we can all live together in heaven. I hope this helps! Have a blessed day!
