The complete equation of cellular respiration is that 6 molecules of glucose reacts with 6 molecules of oxygen to give rise to 6 molecules of carbon dioxide and 6 molecules of water. ATP or energy is released out.

Further Explanation:

Cellular respiration is known to be one of the most majestic and elegant metabolic pathways that takes place in living organisms. It comprises of three stages:

1. Glycolysis

2. Krebs cycle

3. Electron transport chain.

During this, glucose molecules are slowly broken down into the water and carbon dioxide. Some ATP or adenosine triphosphate is generated directly in the reactions which convert the glucose molecule. Oxidative phosphorylation is basically powered by the movement of the electron via the electron transport chain which is a row of proteins pierced in the inner membrane of the mitochondria.

1. The process intiates with the glycolysis. In this, the six carbon sugar called glucose undergoes a row of chemical reactions and in the end, gets transformed into the two molecule of pyruvate which is a three carbon molecule. During this, ATP is produced and NAD+ is converted into NADH.

2. The second phase is the pyruvate oxidation wherein each molecule of pyruvate goes into the matrix of mitochondria and gets converted into the two carbon molecule and then binds with the coenzyme A which is called acetyl CoA. During this, NADH is generated while carbon dioxide is released.

3. The third phase is the Krebs cycle or citric acid cycle wherein the acetyl CoA combines with the four carbon molecule and undergoes a series of reactions, finally, generating four carbon starting molecule, NADH, ATP, and \text{FADH}_{2}. The last phase is the ETC or electron transport chain wherein NADH and \text{FADH}_{2} deposit their electrons and gets back into their previous forms like NAD+ and FAD.

The right option is; glucose + oxygen = carbon dioxide + water-Energy is produced in the form of ATP.

Cellular respiration is the process whereby molecules are broken down by cells for energy. In this process, glucose (a complex sugar) is combined with oxygen to form water, carbon dioxide, and energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP).

The chemical equation for cellular respiration is; C6H12O6 + 6O2 --> 6CO2 + 6H2O + 36 or 38 ATP . (1 glucose molecule + 6 oxygen molecules = 6 carbon dioxide molecules + 6 water molecules + 38 molecules of ATP). where glucose and oxygen are the reactants, while water, carbon dioxide, and energy (ATP) are the products.

grigory [225]

The given statement is True.

Explanation:

The Charles Darwin developed the theory called Darwinism theory of evolution. The theory states that all the species of the organisms arises and developed through the small, inherited variations in the organisms that increase the individual ability to complete the survive and reproduce.

The individual species are not having identical traits that are passed from the generation to generation. The offspring are born that can survive, only the survive of the completion for resources will reproduce; he describes how the species can change in shape and character through the selective breeding.

Suppose the femur bone of an animal has 1,000 atoms of carbon-14 when the animal dies. How many atoms of carbon 14 will be prese
shtirl [24]

Answer:

After 6000 years, approximately 500 atoms of carbon-14 will be left in the femur bone of an animal which had 1000 atoms of carbon-14 when the animal died.

Explanation:

The half-life of a radioactive isotope of an element is the time taken for half the atoms present in a given amount of the element to undergo decay or disintegration. For example, the half-life of carbon-14 isotope is 5730 years. This means that, if there are 100 atoms of carbon-14 present in a given sample of a material, in the next 5730 years, approximately, 50 atoms of carbon-14 will be left in the material.

Since the half-life of radioactive isotopes are constant, these radioactive isotopes are used in the determining the ages of ancient life-forms as well as rocks.

In the given example, after 6000 years, approximately 500 atoms of carbon-14 will be left in the femur bone of an animal which had 1000 atoms of carbon-14 when the animal died.

Do the properties of adhesion, cohesion, and surface tension behave different in salt water vs fresh water
Elanso [62]

Answer:

The water has a dipole that causes it to act like a magnet, attracting other water molecules to it. Adhesion is the attractive forces that cause water to "stick" to a surface other than its own. ... The salt water has a much lower cohesion than plain water so it's attractive forces are less than plain water.

You are served dessert at a restaurant. You want to know what % of the calories in the dessert are from fat. The menu states tha
jasenka [17]

Answer:

39.82 %

Explanation:

Proteins and carbohydrates provide 4 calories per gram. On the other hand, fats provide 9 calories.

We can first calculate the calories of protein + carbohydrates:

       (30g + 4g) x 4 = 136 calories

And we must calculate the calories provided by fat:

        10g x 9 = 90 calories

Now to get the percentage we must see how many calories the dessert has in total:

          136 + 90 = 226 cal

This represents 100% of calories. And now we need to find out how much 90 calories are from the total.

           226 cal -----> 100%

             90 cal ------> X

       (90 x 100) / 226 = 39.82 %
