Answer:

<h2>For y = 0, x = -1</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{Put the value of }\ y=0\ \text{to the given equation}\ y=2x+2:\\\\0=2x+2\qquad\text{subtract}\ 2x\ \text{from both sides}\\\\0-2x=2x-2x+2\\\\-2x=2\qquad\text{divide both sides by (-2)}\\\\\dfrac{-2x}{-2}=\dfrac{2}{-2}\\\\x=-1

Answer:

Solving equations by substitution is exactly as it says it is, you will simply substitute.

In your example: y=2x+2, y=0

You will plug 0 in for y

Your equation will now look like 0=2x+2, now you are going to solve it like a normal equation, getting x by itself

0=2x+2 (first you want to minus 2 from each side)

-2=2x (now you are going to divide each side by 2)

-1=x

x=-1

Hope this helps ;)

A model of a skyscraper is 1.6 in long, 2.8 in wide, and 11.2 in high. The scale factor is 8 in : 250 ft. What are the actual di
____ [38]
<span>At 8in to 250 feet the skyscraper converts to the following. 1.6 in/8 in x 250ft = 50 ft long 2.8in/8in x 250ft = 87.5 ft wide 11.2in/8in x 250ft = 350 ft high You get this because every 8 in is 250 feet so you need to calculate the ratio of scale to that 8in per 250 feet.</span>

The walls of a room are representations of what basic element of geometry? A. point B. line C. plane D. ray
kkurt [141]

In geometry,

A point represents a point

Two points define a line extended on both sides of the points.

Two points define a ray if it extends on only one side of either of the points.

Three or more than three points define a plane.

Now as far as a wall is considered, it is a flat surface on which we can plot infinite points.

Hence the wall represents a plane.

Option C) is the right answer.
